Top 2016 summer events in Breckenridge

It's no secret that Breckenridge is one of our favorite destinations for many reasons, one of which being that it's great for both winter AND summer. That means you can ski all winter long and then make the easy transition to hiking and mountain biking in the summer. Breckenridge also rocks summer with their many activities and events going on right until the first snowfall of the new season! Check out some of our favorite events and happenings for this summer.

June 2-5: WAVE - Light + Water + Sound

Breckenridge Creative Arts brings an indoor and outdoor event featuring interactive art, music and waterfront instillation. Enjoy performances from the National Repertory Orchestra, video shorts from the Breckenridge Film Festival and artist talks. 

June 22-26: Breck Bike Week

Breckenridge is kicking off summer in the saddle. The five-day bike festival starts with Bike to Work Day, followed by bike demos, women's Yeti MTB skills clinics, Breck Cruisers, group night rides and LateNite @ the District with a screening of American Flyers.

July 4: Fourth of July Celebration

Escape the summer heat and head to the mountains for 4th of July celebration in Breckenridge. The day starts with a 10K trail run and continues throughout the day with the Firecracker 50 bike race, leading the vibrant Forth of July Parade, arts festivals, live music and street art. End the night with the National Repertory Orchestra performing a patriotic concert followed by fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

August 12-21: Breckenridge International Festival of Arts

BIFA combines adventure, play and creativity over 9 days. Breckenridge comes alive with musical bike rides, yoga, contemporary circus and exhibitions.
