The Sun Valley Lodge, built in 1936, was constructed from the ground up with every amenity a skier could possibly imagine. The 148 room hotel is a complete luxury hotel with an adjoining glass enclosed outdoor pool and Sun Valley's famous outdoor ice rink and Terrace.

Inside guests enjoy Gretchen's Restaurant, the elegant Lodge Dining Room, the Duchin Lounge named for Marjorie Oelrichs Duchin, beauty salon, spa and exercise room  and for kids of all ages a bowling alley (six lanes) and game room. A Gift Shop and concierge are located in the Lobby.

A Parlor Suite is a comfortable two room suite consisting of a sitting room parlor and a separate bedroom with a king bed.  It's in the Sun Valley Lodge offers a marble bathroom, solid oak French furnishings and two flat screen plasma televisions.

There are a total of six Parlor Suites in the Sun Valley Lodge, five feature a fireplace and four offer an outdoor balcony.  All suites include wired Ethernet and WiFi for high speed internet access and also feature security safes, DVD players, pay-per-view movies, refrigerators and plush pool robes.
