Big Bear #1 is a spacious 1550 sq. ft. unit in Tamarack Loop located within walking distance to the ski village. An eight foot carved bear stands sentry on the covered front porch. A large open great room with a stone fireplace encompasses a comfortable living area, dining area with seating for 8-10, and a completely updated kitchen. Expansive picture windows and French doors open onto a private, covered back porch that overlooks a yard and mountain views and is a perfect spot for grilling. Firewood and kindling are complimentary and conveniently stacked off the back porch.
All bedrooms are on the same level. Two have queen beds, and the third has two twins. In addition, there is a queen Murphy bed that opens into the great room. Heated tiles warm the floors in the kitchen and two bathrooms. Two bathrooms (one with shower/tub and one with walk-in shower) open from the main hallway. The unit has a full-size washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, and well-equipped kitchen.
Two TVs, an extensive DVD library, books, games, cards, and puzzles are all available for apres ski entertainment. The hot tub and pool at Sherpa are open to Big Bear guests. Ski access is a short, flat, half-block walk from the house. A private, locked ski closet, keyed to the unit, provides secure, convenient equipment storage on the covered front porch. A heated entry room with shelves and coat hooks facilitates drying of boots and outerwear.
