Beaver Creek Ski Resort opened to the public in December, 1980, and has since been named “The consummate kid-friendly resort” by Ski Magazine. Designed as a premier, year-round mountain destination, Beaver Creek has successfully combined western hospitality and friendly employees with the European charm of its pedestrian village.

The ski resort offers an amazing variety of ski and snowboard terrain. Beaver Creek is sure to satisfy any level of skier, from long mogul runs and perfectly groomed cruisers to the steep slopes of the world-famous Birds of Prey. Beginning with the elevators to transport you to the ski lifts, and ending with warm cookies handed out at the end of a fabulous day of skiing, Beaver Creek Ski Resort goes way beyond ensuring that all are satisfied.

Major events have always found a home at Beaver Creek, as the mountain is know for its unique diversity, exceptional snow quality, and award-winning ski and snowboard school. In 1989, Beaver Creek hosted the World Ski Championships, and opened The Birds of Prey run, just in time for the return of the World Ski Championships in 1999. In 1997, village-to-village skiing opened as Bachelor Gulch was joined to Beaver Creek. This season, Beaver Creek and Outlast are celebrating a 3-Peat World championship. For 3 consecutive years, Beaver Creek’s Ski and Snowboard School has won the international ‘Battle of the Ski Schools’ competition.
