NAME Resort

Nestled among the Adirondack Mountains, Gore Mountain is a premier ski and snowboard resort that offers a great value for families and riders of all abilities. The resort’s inclusive and family-friendly atmosphere earned it the distinction of “Top 10 for Value” by Ski Magazine in 2006. The 88 alpine trails of Gore Mountain span glades, steeps and rolling hills and provide perfect terrain for seasoned riders and novice skiers. Gore Mountain also maintains eight Nordic trails giving cross-country skiers and snowshoes a great opportunity to see the mountainside at their own pace.

NASTAR, or National Standard Racing, is a large draw for the racing enthusiasts on the mountain. Courses are arranged in a dual slalom setup and are open to boarders and skiers of all abilities. Participants compete based on age and their performance is judged against racers and pacesetters from across the country. Gore Mountain also offers participants a free clinic each morning at 10:30 which provides racers with some excellent insider’s secrets to handing the gates and turns of the course.

Gore recently upgraded its snowmaking capabilities, meaning the resort can open sooner and remain open well into the spring season. Gore Mountain’s continued dedication to improving trail conditions and on-mountain amenities make it one resort in the East you won’t want to miss.
