The ski resort offers an amazing variety of ski and snowboard terrain. Major events have always found a home at Beaver Creek, as the mountain is know for its unique diversity, exceptional snow quality, and award-winning ski and snowboard school. In 1989, Beaver Creek hosted the World Ski Championships, and opened The Birds of Prey run, just in time for the return of the World Ski Championships in 1999. In 1997, village-to-village skiing opened as Bachelor Gulch was joined to Beaver Creek. This season, Beaver Creek and Outlast are celebrating a 3-Peat World championship. For 3 consecutive years, Beaver Creek’s Ski and Snowboard School has won the international ‘Battle of the Ski Schools’ competition.
